RexRep ("we", "us", or "our") operates a marketplace platform connecting homeowners with independent home service professionals in Israel. We operate the mobile application and the website at rexrep.com (collectively, the "Platform").
For purposes of the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and other applicable data protection legislation, RexRep is the data controller responsible for your personal information collected through the Platform.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you provide directly:
- Account registration: Your full name, phone number, and/or email address when you create an account.
- Profile information: For Workers, your trade categories, service areas, pricing, and any photos you upload to your profile.
- Job details: Descriptions of work requested or offered, including location, scheduling, and agreed prices.
- Reviews and ratings: Feedback you submit about other users after a job is completed.
- Support communications: Messages and information you send when you contact us for help.
Information collected automatically:
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- Push notification token: If you grant permission, we store your Expo push token to send you job-related notifications.
- Usage data: Pages or screens you view, features you use, and actions you take on the Platform.
- Log data: IP address, access times, and error logs collected automatically by our infrastructure.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your user account and authenticate you via OTP (one-time password).
- Connect Customers with Workers and facilitate job requests, proposals, and bookings.
- Display your profile to other users on the Platform (subject to your account settings).
- Send you push notifications about job activity, new messages, and platform updates — only if you have granted notification permissions.
- Process and respond to support tickets and customer service inquiries.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with our Terms of Service.
- Improve the Platform, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features.
- Send you transactional emails (e.g., account verification, job confirmations) and, where you have opted in, promotional communications.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis for processing your personal data, we rely on:
- Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide you with the services you have requested (e.g., creating your account, facilitating jobs).
- Legitimate interests: Processing necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as improving the Platform, preventing fraud, and ensuring security — where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: Where you have given us explicit consent, such as when granting push notification permissions.
- Legal obligation: Processing required to comply with applicable Israeli law.
5. Sharing Your Information
We share your personal information only in the following circumstances:
- With other users: Your profile information (name, trade, service area, ratings) is visible to other users of the Platform as part of the marketplace function. When a job is active, the relevant parties can see each other's contact details as needed to coordinate the work.
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate the Platform, including:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication infrastructure.
- Expo / EAS — mobile app delivery and push notification routing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
These providers process your data only on our instructions and are contractually required to protect it.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RexRep, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: If RexRep is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via the Platform or email before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:
- Account and profile data is retained until you request deletion of your account.
- Job history and ratings are retained to maintain the integrity of the Platform's reputation system, even after individual jobs are completed.
- Support ticket records are retained for up to 3 years for quality assurance and legal compliance purposes.
- Log and usage data is typically retained for up to 12 months.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it in a secure manner.
7. Your Rights
Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law and other applicable regulations, you have the following rights:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information. You can update most profile information directly in the app.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete your account and personal data. We will comply unless we are required to retain certain data by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.
- Objection: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests where your individual circumstances warrant it.
- Withdrawal of consent: Where we rely on consent (e.g., push notifications), you can withdraw it at any time through your device settings without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

8. Security
We take security seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, or alteration. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure cloud infrastructure, access controls, and OTP-based authentication.

9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external services, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this page.
